Dub Club, a Los Angeles reggae-dub-roots party held at the Echoplex every Wednesday night has been going on for years bringing fans from all over the place. Nowadays, they take over the entire Echo and Echoplex to feature 2 floors of music goodness to make you irie from different directions. On this occasion they invited Subsuelo, Los Angeles global bass party of choice, to occupy the Echo and what a way to bring a crowd.
The expectation was big since Subsuelo integrated Los Rakas as a main dish and was also accompanied by the traditional flamenco and the blend of this genre with a hip hop beat battle made out of tacones and scratch. Emcee Mandeep Sethi was also in Subsuelo’s secret stash adding a more power to the to the night. As expected, Subsuelo DJs Canyonazo, Gozar, Gazoo and Ethos had the crowd dancing their booties off beginning til ending + Juxli on the visuals. Subsuelo happens every third Wednesday of the month at Eastside Luv but now and then one-offs like this keep the crowd in Subsuelo mode wanting more.
